We request you to download the Intel SATA drivers directly from the Intel website. I have received reply from the concerned team. “Thank you for contacting ASUS technical support. I didn't check the device manager before I wiped the SSD and installed a clean OS, so I don't know if. I got a new laptop, so I wanted to wipe the SSD and install a clean copy of Windows 10 Home. I had opened a support ticked with ASUS tech support and this is the response I received: Summary: The device manager doesn't show a listing for 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controller.' And I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be listed. After that, you will have downloaded and installed the best and latest. Windows 10 searches for the updated driver on your PC and online. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. Now under the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading I only have ONE entry instead of the original three: Standard SATA AHCI Controller. Aim at and expand IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller and right click the Standard SATA AHCI Controller to Update driver. I went to ASMEDIA website and downloaded their latest SATA Drivers and now under the Storage Controllers heading I have the following 3 entries: two Asmedia 106x SATA Controllers and one Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller. I really appreciate your help! When I first posted a few days back in device manager I had listed under the IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers heading the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller. The Intel sata driver installs with the chipset driver.
